Counselling is a form of talking therapy, where clients are met empathically and without judgement to discuss whatever is going on. You will be offered a safe, non-judgemental space to be heard & to really hear yourself.

What happens then? You will be contacted within 24 hours in your specified and preferred method to arrange an informal discussion via phone, of up to 15 minutes in length. There is no cost for this. Should you be contacted initially by phone, you can have the discussion right away, if that is comfortable for you. If not just ask for a call back.
What is the discussion about? This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have, to discuss what has brought you into therapy (no details required, just general) and what you hope to achieve.
Good fit ~ As the relationship between counsellor and client has been shown to be one of the most important features in overall therapeutic success, it is really important you use the the call to gauge your level of comfortability.

Online Counselling: life isn't always conducive to face to face in person therapy and there are many reasons which may make online therapy a better fit for you. You may wish to save time or perhaps you move frequently ~ for example.
Accessing Online Counselling: you will need a quiet, safe space where you won't be disturbed for the duration of the session (1 hour), a stable internet/wifi connection, along with one of the following: lap top, smart phone, computer or tablet. Headphones are also very helpful to reduce noise.
